Raquel Alessi Pictures

Raquel Alessi has been pursuing an acting career since she was a young girl. Raquel Alessi made her professional debut in 1990 with a small but pivotal role in the TV miniseries Lucky/Chances, which was based on the book series by Jackie Collins. On the show, Raquel played the 6-year-old version of one of the central characters -- Raquel Alessi's adult counterpart was Sandra Bullock.

Realizing the importance of having a normal childhood, Raquel then removed herself from the industry until 1997’s Uncle Sam -- a low-budget horror flick revolving around a blood-thirsty murderer who hides his true identity under an Uncle Sam costume.

It was around that time that Raquel Alessi decided to devote her time to performing and consequently enrolled in the acting program at prestigious New York University. Raquel Alessi honed her acting skills at NYU by appearing in a variety of complex plays -- including Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, Tennessee Williams’ The Rose Tattoo and William Shakespeare’s King Lear.

After graduating, she hit the auditioning scene with a vengeance, quickly winning a bit part opposite Jay Hernandez and Diddy in 2005’s Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power. But her big break came in 2006 when she landed a key role on the FOX show Standoff, in which she plays a brilliant FBI Intelligence Analyst named Lia Mathers.

In addition to her work on Standoff, Raquel punched the clock on two other films in 2006: a small, independent comedy called Summerhood, and the big-budget Nicolas Cage comic-book movie Ghost Rider.
